Creative Initiatives with Social Impact.

As a part of the Chief Minister's Fellowship Program, Uttar Pradesh, I have been working in the Salarpur Aspirational Block to tackle key developmental challenges at the grassroots level. This fellowship focuses on addressing issues aligned with India’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), Quality Education (SDG 4), Gender Equality (SDG 5), and Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8).

Through my initiatives, I’ve leveraged traditional art forms like Madhubani and Bhil tribal painting to create awareness, empower communities, and drive sustainable change. For instance, I raised funds through artwork to purchase malnutrition detection tools and collaborated with local artisans to transform artistic designs into livelihood opportunities. I also conducted workshops teaching children creative thinking while preserving cultural heritage.

By applying user-centred design principles and empathetic problem-solving, my work ensures that solutions are impactful, accessible, and resonate deeply with the community. Learn more about the CM Fellowship Program here.

Art as a Catalyst for Health Awareness: Promoting Early Antenatal Care Registration, Economic Empowerment, and Addressing Malnutrition

Delayed pregnancy registration, the lack of functional measuring instruments in Anganwadi centres, and insufficient livelihood generation opportunities are significant public health and socio-economic concerns in many regions, including the Salarpur block. Late registration limits access to essential prenatal care, increases maternal and infant mortality rates and hinders effective health interventions. Inadequate measuring tools compromise the monitoring of child growth and nutritional status, further exacerbating health challenges. The lack of livelihood opportunities further impacts community engagement and economic resilience, making it difficult to address these issues effectively. Designing for Social Impact: A Journey of Empowerment

As a Chief Minister Fellow, I have leveraged design to address social issues, notably gender equality and female foeticide, through awareness campaigns, art, and community programs. Inspired by "The Abandoned Girl," I aspire to drive impactful social change.

Empowering Village Girls through Art

As a Chief Minister’s Fellow, I taught Bhil painting to rural girls, connecting art with education on environmental themes, promoting SDGs, fostering creativity, and proposing income-generating initiatives to combat child labor and empower communities.
